The Dragon Year is one of the most revered in Chinese culture, representing power, strength, and luck. In the Chinese zodiac, the dragon holds a special place, symbolizing supreme authority and greatness. Unlike other animals in the zodiac, the dragon is a mythical creature—majestic, untamed, and believed to have control over the elements. Being born in the Dragon Year is considered a great fortune, as it is said to bring an innate capacity for leadership, fearlessness, and exceptional success. It’s no wonder that people across the world, especially in East Asian countries, see the Dragon Year as a time when greatness is destined to unfold. The Chinese character for the dragon, 龙 (lóng), holds profound meaning, deeply connected to Chinese history, spirituality, and royal power.

In the words of one of our founders,  “This year is Dragon year, and Henry’s son is born this year. His name is Smith Santos Russell, and I used his name for our company. My own son, Isaac Du, was also born in a Dragon year, in 2012.”

This strong connection between the birth of their children and the Dragon Year further solidifies the powerful alignment of destiny within our company. To have two children born in such a significant time, tied by the force and luck of the dragon, feels like the universe’s way of guiding us toward something monumental.

What We Found When Breaking Ground

As we began the preparations to demolish the current structure in anticipation of the new, grand Blue Ocean building, we came across something unexpected. In the very core of the existing building, two dragon symbols appeared, almost as if the universe itself is affirming our journey.

Take a moment to think about it: we’re about to create something magnificent, a building that will symbolize power, transformation, and the future of our company. And here, in the heart of the old structure, these two dragons emerge—a sign, a message. Could this be pure coincidence, or is it fate at work? The universe is speaking to us, and the message is clear: this is *meant to be*. Destiny is aligning with our vision.

We will preserve these two dragons, and they will stand in the future project as a symbol of power and destiny. Their presence in the new Blue Ocean building will remind us of this moment, where everything came together—our children born under the Dragon Year, the discovery of these dragons during demolition, and the grand future we are about to create.

The universe works in mysterious ways, and this is one of those rare moments where we can feel it guiding us.
